Our First "Large" Vermicompost Extraction Another step in our Farm's Success No matter how much preparation and research goes into what we do, the first time something is attempted, it always feel like an unknown. Though, it also feels good when everything goes "as planned". For our Vermicompost venture, the monitoring process already indicated how well everything was going - our worms were always active which we correlated with their happiness. They become our pets, part of the family; Their health and well-being were very important throughout the process and their diets even more so for a few reasons: we wanted to encourage their activity, make sure they were breeding and, of course, produce a beneficial biological compost. In short, this was a success, which included some of our early extraction processes (though they required some patience and muscle, below is one of our first prototypes) It was amazing to see and smell
